Hello there, Richard! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by!
I've been in your shoes before, with the same scenario. I'm happy to share that it is an option to leave your children in the fabulous care of the Counselors at
Disney's Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab while you embark on a
Port Adventure. Please discuss your plans with the Crew Members when your children check-in for the youth activities. They will need information on how to best contact you while you are off the ship if needed.
As of today, the serving of meals has not yet resumed in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. If the policy hasn't changed by the time you set sail early next year, my best recommendation is to feed your children right before they head off for their own adventure in the youth activity spaces. There is a chance, however, that meals will once again be served in these spaces by the time you sail. You can check with us again as your Disney Cruise draws near, or you may inquire once onboard the ship. Disney Cruise Line also offers an online chat via their
Help page on their website. I find it quick and efficient to use myself. If you don't see the option to chat when you visit the Help page, you can try a different internet browser or check back at a later time.
As always, please feel free to sail back to us again with your questions. My pals and I love to help our fellow guests chart a course for fun with the Disney Cruise Line. As you make your preparations to sail, please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You can use the app to reserve Port Adventures and more onboard fun once your cruise activity booking window opens. You can also use the app to check in for your cruise thirty days prior to your voyage. Once you step aboard, the app will be your guide to view the daily activity schedule, dining menus, and more. It's a handy tool that you will use throughout your sailing.
Have a wonderful time sailing with Captains Mickey and Minnie!
