Hi, William!
The answer to your question is "it depends!" When on the
Disney Dining Plan, kids age 3 - 9 will need to order from the Kids Menu at Table Service locations. I think you will find that the kids menus at Table Service locations have a nice variety and will have something for everyone.
Here is where the "it depends" answer comes in...When dining at a buffet, family style dining, or any all-you-care-to-eat location, your child can choose any of the foods he/she wishes. Buffets and the like are really a great option if you have kids who love to try new foods or are big eaters. As a bonus, if you choose a
meal with characters, it is the perfect way to say "HI" to your Disney pals as they will stop by your table for pictures and autographs.
When using your
Quick Service credits on the Disney Dining Plan, kids can order from either menu as your Quick Service credits are not tracked between adult and child, so your little one can order whatever entrée suits his/her fancy!
So the final anwer:
-NO. Kids cannot order off adult menus at Table Service locations
-YES. Kids can eat their foods of choice at buffets or family style dining
-YES. Kids can order off the adult menus at Quick Service locations
I hope this helps! You will find the servers in Walt Disney World to be so very helpful and will guide you through the menu and dining plan options. Ask them any questions about the Disney Dining Plan as the are real pros!
