Hi, Ernesto!
I love living in a state with two Disney Cruise Line ports. I see you’re enjoying the same convivence! A spring cruise to Mexico sounds lovely! I’m glad you stopped by for clarification about your
travel documents. I know it can be confusing because there are different rules, whether you’re traveling to Mexico by plane or ship.
Since your cruise is a closed-loop sailing, meaning your cruise starts and ends at the same U.S. port, your children don’t need a passport. U.S. citizens must present either an original U.S. Passport, U.S. Passport Card, or Trusted Traveler Card, OR an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate. Guests over the age of 15 also need to present a government-issued photo ID.
As you prepare for your voyage, please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You can use the app from home to explore your ship, reserve cruise activities, and countdown to your vacation. Once on board, you can quickly access the daily activities, rotational dining details, and entertainment schedules. It’s your guide to the magic!
I hope this helps as you gather the necessary paperwork for your junior sailors. I know that Captain Mickey can’t wait to welcome you aboard. Did you know you can surprise your children with a complimentary
Character Call? Visit
My Reservations and select “Request a Call” beside the smiling Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie. You can schedule the day and time and watch your children’s eyes light up as they hear their special message.
Ernesto, as the months sail by, please return to planDisney with any questions. My pals and I are delighted to help steer you in the right direction.
SEAS the adventure!
