Do children that literally just turned 3 have to pay at reserved disney dining?

    Hi Deaun,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Years ago, I brought my daughter to Walt Disney World to celebrate her 3rd Birthday, it was one of the most magical birthday celebrations ever!

Walt Disney World Resort states that guests aged 3 and up do require a ticket and will be included in the Disney Dining Plan should you utilise this service.  When we arrived at Walt Disney World for my daughter's birthday, we did not have to purchase a ticket or dining package for my daughter as she was still two at the beginning of the visit and turned three during the course of the trip.  With that being said, if your child is three prior to the visit, they will need a ticket and they will have to be added to the Dining Plan.

Keep in mind that if you are not using the Disney Dining Plan, your child (aged three and over) is free to share meals with you or anyone in your party at a Table-Service or Quick-Service location.  However, if you would like to order a kids meal for your child, you will be responsible for the cost of the kids meal. This is true for those on the Disney Dining Plan as well.  Children three and under are able to share with someone in their party, however if you would like a separate meal for your child guests are responsible for the additional cost.  In addition, if you choose to dine at a buffet or family style dining location, guests with children over three will be required to pay the child's pricing.

I hope that helps, Deaun.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.  We are always happy to help.
