Hey there, Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question!
Hitting 40 inches before your Walt Disney World vacation is a huge milestone when you’re a kid because you get access to a whole new segment of Disney attractions! I’m not sure if your 3-year-old is a thrill-seeker, but you’ll know pretty soon after boarding
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train how the rest of the vacation will go! Jessica, I have similarly aged children and have never had an issue with my oldest sitting with a sibling while I sit with the younger kiddos. So yes, you all will get to enjoy these attractions together!
If your 3-year-old has yet to experience a roller coaster, I like to recommend that parents start with
The Barnstormer ride in
Magic Kingdom Park to gauge their interest in roller coasters. The Barnstormer is a short ride with all the feels of a true roller coaster. So it gives the littles a really good idea of what roller coasters are like. Many folks have a love-hate relationship with these types of attractions, and I want to make sure that my kids love them by easing them into the thrill! But about 2 minutes into his first Barnstormer ride, I knew that my son would fit right in! He’s been hooked on the thrill attractions ever since. He even got to pilot
Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 3-years-old. Needless to say that we crashed, but that is a story for another day!
PG Pro Tip: Bring Dum-Dum pops with you to the Theme Parks. When I enter an attraction stanby queue, I had a sucker to the kids to keep their hands off the rails and keep them occupied while we wait! Don't worry about the sugar; its a Disney Vacation!
I hope this helps, Jessica! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation,
stop back by and let me know. I’m happy to help.
To Infinity and Beyond,
PG
