Greetings from sunny Florida, Robert, and welcome to planDisney! I'm a Florida resident, so I love the perks and benefits we get at
Walt Disney World Resort. Let's look at the policies for purchasing theme park tickets for residents so your family can enjoy the magic.
If the grandparents own property in Florida and can show proof of residency, they can purchase
theme park tickets at Florida resident rates. And since your children are also residents of the Sunshine State, their grandparents can purchase resident tickets for them, too. These discounted tickets are exclusively available to folks living or owning property in the state, so it sounds like everyone is good to go.
All guests over 18 must show
valid proof of residency to activate resident tickets, so the grandparents should come prepared to show
proper documentation. If your children are under 18, they aren't required to show any documentation, but if they're 18 or older, they should also bring proof of residency.
When I need to prove residency, I typically head to the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs the evening I arrive in Orlando. The friendly Cast Members always activate my tickets quickly so I can enjoy some browsing and snacking. No visit to "The Springs" is complete without a shopping excursion at
World of Disney. It's a practically perfect place for finding Disney merchandise and souvenirs..
Robert, I'm sending pixie dust and orange juice so your kiddos will make some memories to treasure with their grandparents. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
