We would like our children to eat a variety of foods (beyond the usual kids meal) and like the Check meals for that. However, we would also like them to try deserts. Can you get a choice of desert with a Check meal?

Hi, Amanda! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When your child has a “rumbly in their tumbly” like Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Check Meals are a great way to ensure that they are getting nutritious yet delicious food in their bellies! Although these meals usually come with some sort of fruit for dessert, I have found that most Cast Members and Disney Restaurants are able to accommodate those with a sweet tooth. However, by making a substitution, you are accepting that the meal would no longer meet Disney Nutrition guidelines to be considered a Mickey Check Meal.

Some of my favorite Disney Restaurants that allow my kids to experience a variety of choices are those that are served Family Style! The Chip ‘N’ Dale Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill has delicious, fresh offerings with some of the produce grown right at The Land Pavilion! How great is that!?

I hope you have a magical vacation and bon appetit!
