Hi, we would like to take our children, 13, 10, 7 to Disneyworld this summer. Any recommendations of where a family of 5 should stay? Also, how many days should we plan on going to the parks? :)

    Hi Heather,

Families of five have some great resort options at Walt Disney World.  In fact, the newest Disney resort is designed especially for larger families.  The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort comfortably accommodate parties of six.  Disney's All Star Music Resort offers similar accommodations.

If you're looking for a room for five with a full kitchen and private laundry facilities, consider a one bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower.  This new resort is within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom.  It is my sister's favorite resort.  She has a family of five also.  If you prefer to be close to Disney's Animal Kingdom, you can get a one bedroom villa for five at Kidani Village.

If I were you, I'd plan to spend at least four days at the Disney theme parks.  You could easily spend one full day in each of the four main parks.  Some would say you should plan to spend two days in Epcot (one in Futureworld and one in World Showcase).  Thus I recommend four or five days in the theme parks, depending on the pace at which your family likes to explore magical new destinations.

If you need help putting together itineraries for your days in the Disney theme parks, just let us know.  We'd be happy to help!
