    Hello, Tracy!

How exciting you are planning a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort with your Mouseketeers! As a mom to a son with special needs, I understand how important it is to plan ahead so you can focus on making magical memories.

I believe you are asking about the Disability Access Service (DAS), which provides a virtual wait time for Guests who are unable to wait in a regular queue. A Guest can request DAS by visiting any theme park Guest Relations. If DAS is assigned, some basic information is collected such as name, party size, length of stay as well as the recipient will have a photo taken. The DAS is electronically associated with all members of the party that have valid theme park ticket media (MagicBands or admission tickets), and attraction return times will be visible in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Just let the Cast Member know your family's needs so that they can offer advice based on your family's situation.

In addition to physical limitations, my Mouseketeer also has sensory issues. I have found that knowing what to expect at each attraction helps us plan our day. The folks at Disney Parks have put together an awesome resource for families, A Resource for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This 23-page booklet is full of helpful information about planning strategies, transportation, accessing attractions and sensory information for each attraction at the four theme parks.

I hope you find this information helpful, and please let me know if you have future questions.

    Have a magical day!
