We have 5 children: 10, 8, 7,5, & 3. We will only have 3 days at Disney. We are going May '10. This is our first time. We are on a budget so we are getting 2 connecting rooms at a value resort, but haven't decided which yet. Any recommendation?

    Theresa:

If I had to narrow down the Value resorts down to just one, I'd recommend the All-Star Movies for your family of children under age 10.  When our family stayed there, the kids loved taking pictures with stories-tall Buzz Lightyear and Woody as much as any of the characters in the parks!  The resort has sections that also feature Herbie the Love Bug and the Mighty Ducks.  Because the rooms are all the same size at the value resorts, it's the theming that helps me with the choice.

FYI: Make sure you requested 'connecting' rooms and not 'adjoining' rooms on your reservation.  Our family had three kids and grandparents when we stayed at the All-Stars, and our rooms were just beside each other....thank goodness we had the grandparents!  Y'all, on the otherhand, might have a stickier situation if the rooms aren't connected, so be very clear!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
