Both my children are celebrating their birthdays. We are considering a specialty cake for each of their birthday dinners. Are they expensive and is the quality worth the price?

Hello Angela!  I just returned from a long weekend with two of my children.  We arrived on  my daughter's birthday and I was also contemplating ordering a specialty cake.  She loves Chip and Dale so we booked the Garden Grill.  Since specialty cakes require 48 hours notice, I called the Cake Hotline (407-827-2253) two days before my trip to see if they could do anything with a Chip and Dale theme.  Sure enough, for $32.00, I was able to order an 8" cake (I had a choice of chocolate or vanilla) with Chip and Dale airbrushed on top.  It was beautiful and equally delicious.  We brought the leftover cake to our room and snacked on it throughout our vacation.  I am glad I ordered the cake and have no regrets.

Also, in case you didn't know, there are non-personalized birthday cakes available for purchase at any sit down dining location.  Simply ask when you check in at the podium.  The cost is approximately $25.00.
If you don't order a cake, most restaurants will provide a birthday cupcake to celebrate the special occasion.

I hope your children find their birthdays extra magical!  Diane :)
