Hi, there!
Welcome back to planDisney, Lesley. We're so happy to see you again and even happier to hear you're planning another Walt Disney World Resort vacation! They're just the best, right?
You're sure to have a spook-tacular time at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I'm glad to hear you plan on taking advantage of that early entry time. This gives you an opportunity to eat a filling meal, experience a few attractions, and maybe even shop for new merchandise before the party officially begins! You ask an excellent question about your dining reservation. It's unlikely you'll be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park with your event ticket any earlier than 4:00 PM, even with an existing dining reservation in place. But not to fret! I recommend trying to modify your existing reservation so it's pushed back a bit. When I'm trying to snag the "perfect time" for a dining reservation, I check availability several times a day, even up to the day before my visit! With patience and persistence, I've always been able to secure a time that works for our itinerary. If that doesn't work, I will tell you that you can typically be up to 15 minutes late for a dining reservation. Fortunately,
The Plaza Restaurant isn't far from the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park, so you may be able to make it within that little window of time!
My best advice for Guests going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is to catch the second performance of
Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. It's late, but in my experience, it's always less crowded! I recommend taking it easy the morning and afternoon of your visit so you have the energy to make it to the end of the party!
I hope this was helpful, Lesley. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Resort! As always, we'd love to help you plan your next visit.
