We have 4 children, ages 13, 11, 6 and 4. With such a variant of age ranges, does anyone have any recommendations in terms of things we can all enjoy together vs. my husband taking the little ones to do something and myself riding rides with our older 2?

    Howdy, Michelle!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I totally understand your question because I have kids ranging from 16 years old to 6 years old!  We have a very simple plan for keeping our whole family happy and engaged at Walt Disney World.

My family will always arrive at each Disney Theme Park when the park opens. As a family, we will then enjoy all the attractions that every one in our family can enjoy. For example, if we are visiting Magic Kingdom, my family will go directly to Fantasyland and ride attractions like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan's Flight.  After a MAGICAL morning of riding these attractions, we will then eat lunch together.   After lunch, our family will then split into "thrill" riders and "chill" riders!  Typically, I will take our three oldest to ride Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while my wife will take the two youngest kids to ride Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Haunted Mansion.  My wife will sometimes take the younger kids back to the Disney Resort to take a nap during the afternoon, while the rest of the family will stay and play through the afternoon!  We will then meet back up for dinner and enjoy the rest of the night as a family!

I hope this helps in your planning!  If you have other questions, please let us know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
