    We have 2 children ages 2 and 5 and are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is there any place nearby where we can buy things like diapers, liquid detergent, cereal, etc. ?

    Hi Sue!  You will find a very nice shop right in the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort where you can purchase some basic food and baby items.  Some families don't want to risk changing brands of such things as diapers so they ship a box or two of supplies to the resort ahead of time. If you do this please address the box to your name and include your check-in arrival date. When we ship we try to gauge that it will arrive at the resort about two days before we do so it isn't sitting in a back room for too long.

    You also have another great choice.  You can order on line your grocery and baby needs from places such as gardengrocer.com.  We have used them and have been very pleased with the service. They will charge your items to a credit card on line and then deliver to your resort on the day of your arrival.  Their on line grocery list is quite extensive so you might want to check this option out to see if it fits your needs!
