If you have 3 children who are ages 4, 4, and 6, how can you ride rides such as the Barnstormer, Seven Dwarfs, and Slinky Dog? I've heard children under 7 can't ride alone. Would they let you do rider swap twice to make sure each child got to ride?

    Hey there, Katelyn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're glad you stopped by with your question.

As a mom of four children which includes a set of twin boys, I've often found myself riding alone with just two or three of my kiddos. Many of the "thrill attractions" feature ride vehicles in which riders sit side by side. When riding attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I always let my twins sit together, and I sit in the ride vehicle just behind them. When my twins were smaller, we usually found that three of us could sit together on most of the slower attractions. We have never encountered any issues or felt it to be unsafe to have two of our children ride together. In fact, even when they were much younger, my twins almost always chose to sit together on rides, which left my husband and I riding together. In your situation, you should be able to ride the attractions as a family. On attractions in which two Guests sit side by side, I would suggest having one parent sit with a 4-year-old, while your 6-year-old and 4-year-old ride together. The other parent can sit directly behind them. My husband or I have often ridden by ourselves when we've had an odd number in our group. We've found that as long as the children meet the minimum height requirement for that particular attraction and a parent is in the riding group, that two kiddos can sit together even if under the age of 7.

If you find that one of your children does not meet the minimum height requirement for an attraction, definitely utilize Rider Switch. Be sure to take advantage of FastPass+ service to decrease your wait for many of the most popular attractions.

I hope this helps, Katelyn. Let us know if you have any new questions. We would love to assist you in planning a magical trip!
