We have children ages 4, 6, and 9. We want to do the Blue Lagoon Beach day excursion that starts with the catamaran ride to the beach. Is this a good activity for children? One is not a strong swimmer and the 4 year old cannot swim.

    Ahoy, Andy!
Looks like you've made plans for some splashtacular Port Adventures during your Disney Cruise! Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of shore excursions, and the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day in Nassau is a popular choice for many Guests.

When you disembark in Nassau, you'll board a double-decker catamaran for a short journey to a private island. These large vessels have ample seating, and provide a smooth, fun ride to your destination. Make sure to snap some photos of the ship as you pull away - it's one of the best views you'll have during your voyage!

Once you reach the island, it's a short walk to a lagoon with a lovely beach. Life vests will be available for your little cruisers, if they choose to venture out into the water. This is an all-ages adventure, so there are certainly plenty or areas for the kids to play and enjoy some fun in the sun. Want to relax? Claim a hammock and pile in for a quick nap. Sounds like paradise to me! Lunch is included on this Port Adventure, so no worries about feeding your little ones while on the island. The Angus Cheeseburger sounds delicious!

I would definitely recommend this excursion for a family with young children - it sounds like the perfect place to spend the day!  I hope you have a wonderful time cruising with Captain Mickey, and enjoy your fun day in Nassau! - Diane W.
