    Can children age 9 run the Castaway Cay 5k and do they get a medal at the end?

    Hi Natalie!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I consulted with our Disney Cruise mom, Nancy, about your issue.  She informed me that the minimum age for the Castaway Cay 5K is ten.  They probably won't stop a child younger than ten from running, but there is no guarantee for a medal.

    I suggest inquiring at the Port Adventure desk once you board your ship to find out more, and see what they recommend.
