Does my children age 11 and 9 need a passport to travel to the bahamas?

Ahoy there, Jennifer!  You have sailed to the right place with your question about travel documentation for your magical vacation on Disney Cruise Line.

For US Citizens, including children, required documentation is either a valid US passport or the original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate, and a physical government-issued photo ID is required if a valid US passport is not being used.  Because your children are younger than 16 years old, they do not need a government-issued photo ID to go along with their original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate.  Please note that digital/mobile state-issued IDs are unacceptable to sail for Guests of any age.

Jennifer, Disney Cruise Line offers so much to Guests of all ages.  From Port Adventures in the Bahamas to onboard activities, Disney Cruise Line creates long-lasting memories for you and your family.   You can pre-purchase a photography package to help capture those memories throughout your cruise. Photographers are available throughout the ship and the private island Disney Castaway Cay.   You will receive a pre-arrival discount if you book this with Disney Cruise Line at least three days before embarkation. To access more information about the photography packages, sign in to your account on the Disney Cruise Line website and select "Already Booked" and then "Photography". There are many options to choose from!
