    Is childcare available on the Disney Cruise when you are at ports? I noticed some of the port adventures have age requirements so I was just curious.

    Hi Steven!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your FANTASTic voyage on the beautiful Disney Fantasy is SO soon!  Before you know it, you will be celebrating on deck as you head out to sea for a vacation you won’t forget.

    On port days, there is secured childcare available onboard – meaning you can check your Mouseketeers into one of the Youth Clubs while you go explore the port on your own or participate in an excursion.  If your child(ren) are three years or older then they will be able to visit either the Oceaneers Club or Oceaneers Lab during the time you plan on being off the ship.  They usually schedule one of the clubs as secured programming and one with Open House during port days – so check the Daily Navigator to see which one is open for childcare!  Many times, my boys enjoy spending time in there even when given the option to get off the ship with us at port!  The Youth Counselors in there make it so fun for them with movies, games, activities and much more – they probably won’t even realize you aren’t there!  Lunch is also served in the Youth Clubs so if you are going to be gone during lunch, they won’t go hungry.  You do not need to reserve time for your children in the Oceaneer Club or Lab, but I always recommend letting the Counselors know that you plan on leaving the ship so that they are aware you are not going to be reachable via the onboard wavephone or chat system on the Navigator app.
