The short and sweet answer to your question, Danielle, is no. In fact, no Guests are
required to have or wear a
MagicBand. MagicBands give Guests easy, touch-free access to many features at Walt Disney World. When linked to a Guest’s
My Disney Experience account, they can be used to access a hotel room, gain entry to a theme park or charge purchases to a resort room account. These are items of convenience, not necessity.
Because they do not require theme park admission, children under the age of three would have little use for a MagicBand. Many of the designs are super cute and do appeal to kiddos, so a MagicBand would make a darling accessory on a cute little wrist. Your young preschooler, though, certainly doesn’t
need one.
I hope that clears things up for you, Danielle! Have a great time.
