Hi Paola, welcome back to planDisney!
The magic of
Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration is calling through March 31. Your little one will love waving to the EARidescent 8 during
Mickey's Celebration Cavalcade in Magic Kingdom Park. He can go in for a warm hug when meeting Mickey Mouse at
Town Square Theater.
Guests over the age of 3 require valid admission, a
theme park reservation, a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card), and a
Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation to access the Lightning Lane entrance of over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. Guests under the age of 3 do not require any of those things. That's right, your son is a special Guest of my pal Mickey Mouse and has permission to enter any Lightning Lane entrance with an eligible adult. How special is that?!
Now let's say your party has a Genie+ Lighting Lane reservation for
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park but your son is not tall enough to experience this attraction. When checking in for your reservation at the Lighting Lane entrance, let the Cast Member know you'd like to take advantage of
Rider Switch service. The Cast Member will guide you through the steps that allow one member of your party to wait with your child; the waiting adult can then experience the attraction with up to one additional adult via the Lightning Lane entrance with a Ride Switch entitlement.
There are many Genie+ Lighting Lane attractions with no height restriction. When my kids were toddlers, they especially loved the colors and sounds of "it's a small world," "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh," and "Peter Pan's Flight" in Magic Kingdom Park.
Enjoy experiencing Disney magic through your son's eyes, Paola. Imagination is pure pixie dust!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
