Hiya Debbie,
Welcome back to planDisney! As Kaitlin mentioned, you are doing a fantastic job preparing for your upcoming vacation. I hope you are excited about your trip; March will be here soon! I’m happy to provide clarity as you continue finalizing your trip details.
First off, great question! I’ve been taking my little Mouseketeer to Walt Disney World since she was 4 months old, and now she’s nearly three years old, so I’ve been preparing for that big milestone birthday. I’ve also been preparing for what her turning three means for our visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Starting when they turn three years old, Guests must have
theme park tickets to enter the theme parks. So you will need to purchase a kid’s ticket for your Mouseketeer. He will also need
lightning lane passes if you are still planning to use lightning lanes during your visit.
I hope this was helpful, Debbie. Before I let you go, dining is another thing to consider for your son. Now that your toddler is three, you will also be charged the children’s cost for dining at locations with prix fixed menus like
Tusker House. This is true even if they are more of a snacker like my little one and won’t eat most of their meal. Many of those locations are character dining locations, so the entire experience, including the characters, is included in the price. I recommend looking at the menus for those locations where you made advanced dining reservations to ensure you are accounting for the added expense in your planning. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
