If I have a child that is 2 years old and doesn’t require the purchase of a ticket, will my child still be able to get on rides in both parks?

Welcome, Amanda! And a very merry un-birthday to you!

I’m so happy you will be enjoying the Disneyland Resort with your little Mouseketeer soon. We have always enjoyed taking our littles to the parks. It’s so much fun to see their reactions to the many wonderful sights, sounds, and tastes of the Happiest Place on Earth.

Tickets to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are required for all guests age three and older. Children younger than three accompanied by their family or guardians are honorary guests of Mickey Mouse himself and no ticket is required. These young padawans are welcome to accompany their party on any attractions for which they meet the minimum height requirements. Other members of your group may still experience attractions where smaller guests don’t meet height requirements. Just ask a friendly Cast Member about using Rider Switch.

There are many more attractions and entertainment available for family and guests of all ages besides ride attractions. The Disneyland Resort offers a world of imagination and adventure for your preschooler. I recommend taking opportunities to meet many of your favorite Disney characters. You might even consider enjoying one of the available Character Dining experiences.

Have a magical time, Amanda! Please stop by with any more questions you may have.
