We have a child w/special needs and hope to get a Disability Access Service pass. Can we go to guest services outside of MK the evening we arrive to get the pass? Or will it only be issued if we intend to enter a park on that day?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stacey!

I’m happy to hear you’ll soon be visiting Walt Disney World Resort with your child. We always see great social and developmental gains from our special needs son making our visits truly special.

To discuss Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) option with a Cast Member, you will need to visit any Theme Park Guest Relations with your entire travel party, including your child. If the (DAS) is determined to be the service best for your child, a Cast Member will then proceed to take a digital photo image of your child and associate all Theme Park Admission Ticket Cards or MagicBands in your travel party to your child’s potential (DAS). The service will be thoroughly explained to you and the Cast Member may even offer the first attraction of your choice, as was my experience.

Please know that you can utilize a (DAS) with Disney’s FastPass+ service affording you an even greater variety of experiences.

Stacey, you may wish to familiarize yourself with Disney’s Services for Guests with Disabilities in preparation for your visit and customize your plans with My Disney Experience to optimize your vacation.

We hope this information is helpful, Stacey and wish you a most magical Disney Vacation!
