For a child in a wheelchair, how do we navigate the lines? Do we stand in line with the wheelchair and leave it at the entrance? We've been to Disney several times prior to my 6year old's diagnosis but never been to after and with a wheelchair. Thx

Hi Mee! I hope you are well!

The Disneyland Resort is a welcoming place with several accommodations for Guests using a wheelchair. Depending on the attraction, you may have several options for boarding an attraction. For a complete list of attractions that allow the Guest to remain in the wheelchair or require the Guest to be ambulatory, visit the Mobility Disabilities webpage. As for how to board attractions, most rides will have signs directing those with a wheelchair on which way to access the attraction. However, when in doubt, a Cast Member is usually nearby to provide direction.

One of my favorite wheelchair-friendly and kid-friendly experiences at the resort is the Disney Junior Dance Party! over at Disney California Adventure Park. My son is close in age to your son and has a ball every time. There is fun music to dance to, and the kiddos get to see some of their favorite Disney Junior stars like Doc McStuffins and Vampirina.

I hope you and your family have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!

    Happy planning,
    Lola
