Hello Tiffany!
Two years old is such a magical time for a visit to the "Happiest Place on Earth!" Your little Mouseketeer is going to love it, and you'll love seeing everything from their perspective. I'm so excited for you!
Since children under 3 years old don't require park tickets (how awesome is that?) they also don't require a
Lightning Lane. If you've purchased Lightning lane access for yourself then your little one is welcome to join you for those attractions, as long as they meet any height requirements. There are plenty of Lightning Lane options that are perfect for the whole family. Some of my favorites are:
- Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway in Disneyland Park
- "it's a small world" in Disneyland Park
- Toy Story Midway Mania! in Disney California Adventure Park
- The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure in Disney California Adventure Park
When my kids were that age we loved to spend a morning in Mickey's Toontown where they could explore and meet characters. The whole neighborhood has been recently reimagined, and it's better than ever!
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is one of my family's favorite attractions, it will have your whole family singing along. "Nothing can stop us now!"
Another great option for your party is
Rider Switch. For the attractions you want to enjoy where your child isn't tall enough, you can meet with the Cast Member greeting guests at the ride and let them know you'll need to use Rider Switch. Then one group can hop in line while someone waits with the little one (it's the perfect time to grab a snack or meet a character) and then you can swap places so that everyone gets to ride.
Don't forget that purchasing Lightning Lane access also means you get digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass Photographer images! Pictures really are the best souvenir, especially when you have kids experiencing all sorts of new magic. Have so much fun, Tiffany!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
