My child turns 3 years old in the middle of our vacation to Orlando/ Disney. Is his addmission free to the parks only until his third birthday, or throughout our week there? Are there any special birthday "treats" or "celebrations" at

You booked your trip perfectly, Brian, because your son will enjoy complimentary admission for the duration of your stay.  Disney considers the age you were at check-in to be your age for the whole trip.  If your son is two when you check-in, he will be entitled not only to free theme park admission, but also free dining in some cases.  As for complimentary birthday treats, do be sure to pick up a birthday button for him from one of the Guest Services locations.  You can also have your celebration noted on your room and dining reservations; you might be treated to a little birthday pixie dust.  Enjoy your celebratory trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
