Hiya Amy,
Welcome to planDisney! Let me start by wishing your Mouseketeer a very happy early birthday. My daughter is turning three next month, and I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe how fast that happened! I’ve been taking my daughter to Disney parks since she was four months old, and now we are preparing for the fact that the next time we visit, she will need a ticket to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Great question about tickets, Amy. When you book a
Vacation Package, your child’s age for their theme park tickets for the trip is determined by the age they are at check-in. So, since you mentioned that your child will be two when you check in for your vacation, you didn’t need to purchase theme park tickets. Unfortunately, since tickets to
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are purchased separately, if your child will be three during the event, you must purchase a kid’s ticket for them for the party.
I hope this was helpful, Amy. Before I let you go, I wanted to share a tip for celebrating your Mouseketeer’s third birthday at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Bring an empty backpack with you! Trick-or-treating at Magic Kingdom is a new level of treat, and the Cast Members are always super generous with their candy scoops. The little bag you get for the party tends to fill up quickly, and there is no way your three-year-old could eat enough candy during the event to lighten that load. We always bring an extra bag to dump the candy into and free up space for our daughter to carry the smaller bag. Then, at the end of the night, we put our entire candy haul in reusable plastic bags to take it home in our luggage. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else. We would love to help you plan out even more magical surprises for your soon to be three year old’s celebration.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
