Ahoy there, Linda!
Wouldn't it be best if our little ones simply agreed to never grow up? Still, there are some benefits of aging up when sailing aboard the Disney Cruise Line.
When your child is 3 to 10 years of age, he or she will be able to take advantage of age-specific reserved programming in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. At 11 years old, they can show you just how far they'll go as they advance to Edge, the youth club for tweens 11 to 14 years old. But that doesn't mean that tweens, teens, and adults can never enjoy the wonderful offerings of the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. Just take a peek in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see when there are Open House hours offered in each space. During those times, your 11-year-old will be able to explore and experience those spaces, sometimes including special programming or character meet opportunities.
Outside the youth clubs, there are many other activities to enjoy too. There are movies, characters, swimming and sliding, and programming the whole family can enjoy together. My family's favorites are the trivia activities and animation classes.
"See the line where the sky meets the sea?" I hope you enjoy chasing that line together as a family aboard your Disney Cruise Line ship. If you should have any more questions as you get ready for your adventure, I hope you'll visit us again here at planDisney.
