My child will turn three a few days into our trip to Disneyland in Anaheim. Do we need to purchase additional park tickets for her? We are also doing the character dining the day after she turns 3. Do we need to buy a separate plate for her?

    Hi there Justin,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks and that you'll get to celebrate your little one's birthday!

According to the theme park ticket purchase page on the Disneyland Resort website, children 3 and older do need their own theme park ticket. Similarly, for buffet-style restaurants like Goofy's Kitchen, children 3-9 have special child pricing, but those under 3 are not charged.

Therefore, it's certainly worth it to fit in as much as you can before she turns 3!

Since she is turning 3 during your trip, I'd imagine you also want to celebrate her! Make sure to get her a complimentary birthday button, which you can find at most merchandise checkout locations around the parks. While your daughter is wearing this, she'll get extra birthday greetings throughout your stay!

Thanks again for your question, Justin. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your daughter's birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
