My child will turn 10 just before we head to Disney in November. She will still want to order kids meals like her younger sister. We are on the Deluxe Dinning Plan and I hate to pay the price for an older child she will want the kid meals. Any ideas?

    Hi there, Angela!

On the Disney Dining Plan, a Guest over ten may order from the children's menu, but, as you correctly note, will be charged the age-based adult entitlement.

One suggestion is to talk to your server at the time you are seated and let him/her know your situation. There are generally ways in which the chef will work with your travel party to ensure that your daughter's tastes are met, and that you have gotten the best value for your dollar.

Often, the chef can suggest preparing a larger portion of a child favorite; s/he might even suggest an entirely new menu item to your daughter.

Disney chefs are adept at catering to the palates of a variety of Guests and ensuring that each diner feels that s/he had the kind of experience Disney is known for. Just make sure to let your server know in advance and they'll be able to work something out.

    Have a great trip!

    See you later, celebrator,
