My child is traveling with HS Band. They will have enough free time: 1 full & 2 half days. How to best plan before leaving home to optimize the experience? For example, shorter wait times for rides/takeout. The plan needs to be flex enough to change.

Welcome to planDisney Danguole! High School band trips are exciting times for families. Thanks for trusting us to help optimize your time. I love squeezing in every last bit of fun and am known for it, so I am glad you asked

Being flexible on a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is a major part of a successful visit. Planning is important as well, you should start by checking to make sure on the Disney Park Pass Availability Calendar that your park of choice is available. If it is, purchase those tickets and then Make Theme Park Reservations. Once you have your tickets and reservations you can download the My Disney Experience App, once you register you can then link your tickets and the real planning begins! The free-to-use Disney Genie Service is a tool that will customize your day on the fly at the parks. At home, you should sit down and choose your favorite attractions, entertainment, and dining options you are interested in seeing. This service on the day of your visit will lead you to all your interests based on the selections and will display estimated wait times. Another part of the My Disney Experience App is Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. This is one of my favorite tips. While you are in line for an attraction right before you get on the attraction check out what's nearby and order something before you board the ride vehicle. Chances are depending on the distance you have to walk after you are done, your food will also be ready to pick up with little to no wait.

These trips were always memorable for me as I did something similar with choir all four years of high school. I hope these tips will help make your visit plentiful when you think back on the memories that you made. Come on back if you have any other questions or planning needs.

    Have a magical day!
