Have a child ticket linked to my 9 year old. Will I have a problem making fastpass+ if she turns 10? We wanted to go before she was 10 but now we won’t be going until July 2021 and she turns 10 in Oct 2020.

Hi there Louis! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you stopped by today. This question has special sentimental significance to me at the moment because my oldest just turned 10 years old, as yours will soon! It is such a big milestone, and marks the age when your child will be eligible for an adult Theme Park Ticket at Walt Disney World!

While Mickey Mouse has not been known to ask for proof of age at the gate to the Happiest Place on Earth, he does appreciate your honesty in these matters! Indeed, if your daughter will be turning 10 before the trip, her ticket should reflect that. At this point, the best course of action would be to contact the Existing Tickets department and discuss with them that one of your Tickets needs to be updated to reflect the new dates of your rescheduled vacation. They can then let you know how to make that change! As long as there is a valid Theme Park Ticket linked to your daughter's account within My Disney Experience, FastPass+ selections will still be able to be made regardless, at 180 days before your vacation if staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, or 60 days if staying off-property. However, I recommend making this change before your FastPass+ selection date, so the whole process can be as seamless as possible for you!

Nowhere is it both more exciting to “grow up” and easier to be a child forever than at Disney World! I am so glad you will be able to reschedule your vacation and make some magical memories very soon! In the meantime, do keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all Disney-related updates and announcements, and check out the Update on Walt Disney World Resort Operations for more details on rescheduling your trip.

Louis, I hope you find this information helpful as you plan for your future visits to Walt Disney World! Please do not hesitate to come back to see us whenever we can be of any further help to you!

    See ya real soon!
