Hi Amy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
I’ll be honest with you: I’m not a huge fan of the
rental strollers that are available at the Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Although they’re fine as a last-minute choice, because they’re made of hard moulded plastic, the biggest drawback with them is the fact that they don’t have any storage space, even for a small bag! You’d have to either rent a double stroller to hold your stuff while you’re touring, wedge your bags at your child’s feet (not an option if they’re bigger) or to try to store it on the top canopy part when it’s open (which isn’t particularly stable).
If you want to rent a stroller for your upcoming vacation, my recommended option would be to use a Disney Featured Provider (go to the end of the page that I've linked to above). You’ll be able to rent a more conventional stroller, one that has space for your bags and usually even a cup holder! This is what we do during our visits now because, even though our little guy is now 5, there are nights when a stroller is really useful for him especially near the end of our trips. We’ve received wonderful service from Kingdom Strollers, in particular.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
