    Does my child with special needs have to wait in the standard queue if they don't have the ability?

    Hi Madeline,

    Welcome to planDisney! I am always happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian!

    Although I cannot officially say, it sounds like your child might qualify for the Disability Access Service. This service is specifically designed to help Guests who cannot tolerate a traditional queue. My family has used this service and it has really allowed us to more fully experience the parks. In the past, we headed to Guest Relations as soon as we entered a park and requested the service. A Cast Member consulted with us to make sure the service would best meet our needs. Once one person is assigned the service, a limited number other Guests could be assigned to that person's DAS so that you can ride together. 

    Now, eligible Guests can pre-register for DAS. Make sure you have the My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded so that you can track and make plans during your visit. Also, consider other ways to minimize your time standing in line. Make advanced dining reservations, use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and take advantage of Mobile Dine Check-in. 

    Madeline, I hope that you can register for the Disability Access Service. Continue to plan your days carefully so that your child can get some breaks during the day. When our girls were younger, we also went back to the resort hotel to take naps during the day!
