My child has special needs. We were told to check at guest services upon our arrival to access disability services. Is there anything we need to know or call beforehand? Also, is DAS the same as a FastPass or should we do both or one? Thanks!

    Hi Charlotte,

You're just about one month away from your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! SO exciting!

Yes, the Disability Access Service is such a blessing for Mouseketeers whose special needs make waiting in a traditional queue challenging. There's nothing that you need to do ahead of time, although reading about the Disability Access Service and some of the other services available for Guests traveling with special needs could certainly be helpful! When you arrive, your entire party will need to head to Guest Relations inside a theme park. You'll share your concerns with the Cast Member there and if the service would be helpful for your family's unique needs, he or she will get everything set up for you. When you're ready to use the service, one member of your party may simply ask a Cast Member at an attraction's entrance for a Disability Access Service return time. It's all managed digitally now, so he or she will scan your MagicBand or card and let you know what time you may return. You'll even see it show up within "My Plans" in your My Disney Experience account. When it's time, your family will enter via the FastPass+ queue, and you'll just need to have your Mouseketeer who qualified for the service go first.

You may use the Disability Access Service one experience at a time throughout your entire vacation, and yes, you are also able to use the FastPass+ service, so I'd definitely encourage you to choose three attractions per day ahead of time for that!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Charlotte, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
