I have a child with special needs who doesn't do well with wait times. Would like some guidance on planning the day

Welcome to planDisney, Sudarshan! I'm so glad that I get to answer this question for you before you take off on your trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

It sounds like your child might benefit from Disability Access Service (DAS), a program offered at Walt Disney World to assist Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability. The service allows Guests to schedule a return time that is comparable to the current queue wait for the given attraction. Once a return time is issued, you can enjoy other entertainment and attractions that have a more manageable wait time for your child. As soon as you redeem your return time, you can book another one using the My Disney Experience app for the same attraction or a different one!

If this accommodation sounds appropriate for your child, there are two ways that you can register for DAS. The recommended option is to register in advance using live video chat between 2 and 30 days before a park visit. If deemed eligible for DAS, you will participate in a virtual registration process. The Guest utilizing DAS must be introduced on the video call, and a photo will be taken of them. If you don't have time to register for DAS within that time frame, you can also visit a Guest Relations location at any of the four Theme Parks when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort and a Cast Member will help you complete the registration process there.

I hope this answers your question, Sudarshan, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
