Hello Sandra,
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question—it’s wonderful to assist as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
As a mom to three kids, I completely understand wanting to keep your little one close, unfortunately, having a child ride along on a scooter or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) isn't permitted. For safety reasons, each ECV is designed to be operated by one person only. Allowing a child to ride along with an adult on a scooter can pose safety risks, both to the child and to other guests.
If you need to stay close to a young child while using an ECV, a stroller is an excellent option. For those visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you have several choices for stroller and mobility device rentals. You can bring your own, or rent directly at the theme parks or Disney Springs. There is also ScooterBug—the
Disney Featured Provider. ScooterBug offers strollers, ECVs, and wheelchair rentals for Guests visiting the theme parks and Disney Springs, as well as length-of-stay rentals for guests staying at
Disney Resort hotels.
One of the great conveniences of renting through ScooterBug is that if you are staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you don’t need to be present for the delivery or return of the equipment. ScooterBug coordinates with Disney Resort Cast Members to handle these logistics. This can make your stay much smoother and allow you to focus on enjoying your vacation. Pre-orders and deliveries can be arranged by visiting ScooterBug’s website at scooterbug.com/orlando or by calling them at (800) 726-8284.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance as you prepare for your magical trip, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We at planDisney are here to help ensure your vacation is as delightful and hassle-free as possible!
Happy Planning,
~Yael
