Hello, Helen!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to ask us your question. I’m happy to hear you’ll be traveling to the
Walt Disney World Resort with your family soon!
It sounds like you’ve heard about the
Disability Access Service (DAS) program for Guests who aren’t able to wait for attractions in a traditional standby queue due to a developmental disability like autism. If you think your daughter may qualify, you can have a pre-registration video chat before your vacation begins via the link on the
DAS registration page. A parent or guardian must register on behalf of a minor under the age of 18, and the child who will use DAS must be present during the video call.
Before you initiate the live chat session, sign in to
disneyworld.com or your
My Disney Experience account, and be sure you have linked valid theme park admission for each member of your party. Scroll down to the section that reads “Ready to Chat with a Cast Member?” and click the “Request Live Chat” button when you and your daughter are both present and ready to participate in the video chat.
I hope this information helps, Helen, and that you have a magical experience at the Walt Disney World Resort! Please send us any other vacation planning questions you may have as your trip approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
