Welcome to
planDisney, Colleen!
Isn't it funny that we recall sprinkles of pixie dust from childhood vacations? I still remember my grandfather holding my hand on the
Haunted Mansion and pointing out the silliest parts of that attraction to keep me from being scared when I was a small Mouseketeer. Currently, there is no way to arrange a phone call from a Disney character to a restaurant, but I have another idea for making fun memories with your young travelers.
Have you heard about Disney's newest in-room digital assistant? As a Guest of a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection, you can access
"Hey Disney!", a voice-activated magical companion similar to an Amazon device you may have at home. With "Hey Disney," you will have various opportunities to interact with your favorite Disney friends. If you say, "Hey Disney, set an alarm for 7 AM tomorrow morning," you'll receive a wake-up call from Mickey Mouse or one of his pals. Sometimes, I tell my children to be ready to leave the room in 15 minutes. They ask Hey Disney to set a timer for them, and when it's time to go, they'll hear the message with
character. Even asking for the weather can yield a magical surprise! Check out everything you can do with
"Hey Disney," here.
I hope this is helpful, Colleen, and you have an incredible time making new memories with your little ones.
The Hollywood Brown Derby is an excellent choice for a family meal because it features grown-up favorites like Our Famous Cobb Salad and offers a children's menu palatable for most youngsters. It's a wonderful way to introduce kids to signature dining. Don't skip dessert! The Grapefruit Cake may be famous, but the Decadent Chocolate Cake is star-studded and my top choice. Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, and best wishes for an unforgettable adventure this winter.
Cheers,
Betsy
