Hey there, hi there, Carlye! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
As a mom and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, one thing I love about
Walt Disney World Resort is how inclusion is at the soul of the company and that
every Guest is treated like royalty. The Cast Members are fabulous and treat everyone, even the littlest Mousketeers, with respect, love and a little bit of pixie dust. Now, let's make sure your kiddo has the most magical time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
While I don't know if there is anything you can do in advance to alert Cast Members that your child does not like being called "Princess," rest assured that this is a practice that seems to be coming to an end. When my daughter was younger, she was referred to as "Princess" by several Cast Members throughout our trips. However, in recent years, I have noticed that the Cast Members do not call her "Princess" anymore. They now seem to call her "friend," and this is a very welcome change for many people. I think your child will be happy to hear this news!
I hope this helps, Carlye, and I hope you all have an unforgettable and magical vacation! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
