Welcome to planDisney, Audrey!
We're so glad you've brought your question to us today. I'm thrilled to hear you have another magical vacation just around the riverbend, and happy to help!
Disability Access Service (DAS) is available for guests who are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time due to a developmental disability. DAS is
valid for the length of your ticket or up to 1 year, whichever is shorter. If it's been some time since your last visit, you'll likely need to re-register.
This service requires an approval process, which is typically conducted via a Live Video Chat with a Cast Member. My pal
Elaine shares some helpful details about the process here. It's my understanding that guests must be in the US to complete this process, so if the "Request Live Video Chat" button doesn't work for you at home in Canada, you can access it between 7 am and 8 pm EST once you've arrived in the Sunshine State. Keep in mind that your child will need to be available during the call, and you should both have admission linked to your account before starting the process.
Once eligibility is determined, you can
request your first return time after entering the park each day. This may be a different process than you utilized on your last visit, as experiences are no longer pre-scheduled before arrival. You'll continue to request new return times throughout the day, ten minutes after a return time has been redeemed. You can do this right from the
My Disney Experience app, which makes things quick and convenient. If you need a little technical assistance, a Cast Member at Guest Relations or any
Guest Experience Team location can help, too.
Audrey, I hope this answers all your questions, but if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Amy
