Ahoy, Anthony! Welcome to planDisney. My pals and I are happy that you cruised our way.
My family enjoys sailing from San Diego on the
Disney Wonder, and I can't wait for you to experience all of the fun onboard. It's imperative that you have the proper
travel documentation, so I am glad you stopped by to ask. If your child is a United States citizen, a passport is recommended, but not required. The itinerary on which you are sailing allows for your child to present an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate to sail. Please keep in mind that hospital-issued birth certificates are not acceptable.
You will need to upload a photo of the birth certificate during the online check-in process. You can begin online check-in 30 days before you set sail. You may use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or the Disney Cruise Line
website to check in. You will also need to upload photos of everyone in your travel party for security purposes. These photos should be in JPEG format, and need to be taken from the shoulders up, against a plain background. Please remember to remove glasses and hats for the picture.
Your photos and travel documentation will be reviewed, and it could take a couple of weeks before your status shows that you are ready to sail. It won't be long until your magical vacation gets underway! If you'd like to review a handy
packing checklist, Disney Cruise line provides one for your reference.
Your sailing is set to include a
Pirate Night, so if you'd like to dress like a scallywag for the buccaneer bash, consider bringing a pirate outfit or accessories. You'll also find a selection of pirate wear for sale on the ship.
I hope you have a most wonderful time onboard the Disney Wonder! Please sail to planDisney again if you have further questions. It's a pleasure to help!
