My child has milk/egg/tree nut allergies. We have a counter-service meal plan so she doesn't have many options. Is she allowed to use her credits to order off of the adult menu?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ellen!

I know the challenge it can be to find safe and tasty allergy-friendly quick-service options as my son also has multiple food allergies. In researching your question, I spoke with a Guest Relations Cast Member to confirm that the safe meal you select for your daughter at the quick-service restaurant you will be dining at will be covered by your dining plan, even if it is not on the kids' menu. When you get to the counter, notify the Cast Member of the allergies you are accommodating and they can provide you with ingredients listings for items on the menu. You can speak with the Chef or manager of the quick-service location to assist you in ordering. Also, keep a look out for allergy-friendly menus that are available at restaurants throughout the resort that can assist you in ordering. I encourage you to contact the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com prior to your visit as they can help you with specific questions about your family's trip and your daughter's meals.

In my experience, I have found that a little preparation and planning goes a long way in making sure we can accommodate my son's allergies as easily as possible. I like to use the Walt Disney World Resort section of allergyeats.com to help plan our family's restaurant choices prior to our trip. You can enter the specific food allergies that you are accommodating and then view restaurant rankings and reviews from other Guests with those same allergies. It is a great way narrow down the many options at Walt Disney World Resort to places that will work for our family!

Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
