My child has milk and egg allergies. When doing a mobile order, my concern is that if I select a dish from the milk allergy menu that it could still contain egg, for example. Is my only option to not use mobile ordering and do it at the counter?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Daniel!

Thanks for stopping by with your follow-up question. The delicious food and beverage offerings are always a highlight of my Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I completely understand your need to have clarity on this issue to ensure everyone in your crew has a magical experience.

While the menus and options available through Mobile Order using the My Disney Experience Mobile App have grown exponentially in recent years, you may still have a challenge navigating multiple food allergies using Mobile Order and this might not be the best route for you to take. While it is possible that a milk allergy-friendly item might also be egg allergy-friendly, most Mobile Order menus at Quick Service dining locations are currently only divided into single allergens. Of course, this could always change as Disney continues to develop their inclusive and transparent dining options. Long story short, when your food order includes items for your child with multiple allergies, I recommend either skipping Mobile Order, or at a minimum, speaking to a Cast Member or chef at the dining location for more details about their offerings before placing an order.

I would also encourage you to consider making reservations at one of the amazing Table Service dining locations during your visit. While making your reservation, you are able to describe all allergies and preferences, and you can even let the restaurant know what you are celebrating that day! C'mon, there is always something to celebrate! Table Service dining is fantastic for groups with food allergies due to the multi-layer approach. You'll let the restaurant know your needs ahead of time, and when you arrive you'll be able to discuss the options with a Cast Member or even the chef who will be preparing your meal! You might also notice that menus at Table Service restaurants show items as multi-allergen friendly, so you can clearly select items that are BOTH milk and egg allergy-friendly. For example, at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, all 3 Allergy-Friendly Kids' Create-Your-Own Entrées selections currently on the dinner menu are both milk and egg allergy-friendly!

I hope you and your crew have a magical time enjoying the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration!
