if a child meets the height requirements, does a parent have to be at the water slide with the child or can the child 8yo go on slide as long as parent is in the park?

    Hello Dianna!

The Walt Disney World waterparks are a splash-tastic way to spend a day! Each of them has exciting and unique attractions. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is home to the largest wave pool in North America while Disney's Blizzard Beach's Summit Plummet is a breathtaking 12 stories high!

Like all attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort, children under 7 must be accompanied by someone 14 years or older. With this in mind, an 8-year-old will be allowed to enjoy the water slides without a parent.

Thanks for coming to us with your Walt Disney World planning question. If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    See ya real soon,

I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
