We have a child under 16 who goes by a preferred name which is different from their legal name. Can I register the ticket to their preferred name or do I need to use their legal name?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, David!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by, and we are so excited to answer your question and help you plan your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort! We know you and your family are going to have the most MAGICAL time ever!

So, are you ready for some TIGGER-ific news? I am very happy to inform you that you can use either his preferred name or his legal name on his Disneyland Theme Park Ticket! When you arrive at one of the Disneyland Theme Parks, a Cast Member will then take a picture of each person using their specific ticket. From there, the ticket will then be linked to the person on the picture, not to the name on the ticket. That means any name on his ticket will be just fine. WOO HOO! Don't you just love happy endings? I know I do!

As you know, Mickey Mouse and his pals are making exciting announcements all of the time, and we don't want you to miss any of them! That is why I highly recommend you follow Disneyland on all of its social media channels, and be sure to subscribe to The Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date Disney information!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!

    See Ya Real Soon!
