Ahoy, Garrett!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
The pool areas on Disney Cruise Line's ships are so much fun - for guests of all ages! We have so many memories of our daughters enjoying the awesome slides and pools on our Disney Cruise Line vacations (and I'm sure my daughters have plenty of memories of me relaxing in a lounge chair on the pool deck!).
The Twist 'n' Spout Slide on the Disney Magic is an exciting double-looping waterslide that's over 250 feet long! It's located above the
AquaLab water play area, an 1,800-square-foot recreation space located on Deck 9. The Disney Cruise Line website has a
list of age and height requirements for their pool areas, and this is what it says regarding the Twist 'n' Spout Slide:
"Twist 'n' Spout Slide (Disney Magic) – height at least 38 and no more than 64 inches tall". After reading this, I checked in with the folks at Disney Cruise Line to confirm. While I was told there was a
minimum height requirement, they could not confirm the
maximum height restriction. That being said, I'm not certain if you'd be able to ride the slide
with your son. Your best bet is to check in with the cast members working at the slide to see if you'd be able to accompany your little one on his first ride on the slide to comfort him. It never hurts to ask!
I'm sorry to not have a more definite answer for you. My fingers are crossed your little buccaneer will soon be enjoying a day of fun on the amazing waterslides on the
Disney Magic! I hope you and your family have a most magical time on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. - Diane W.
