Mom and daughter on Dumbo

If a child 7 or under has a FastPass+ (we just found out our 7 year old needs a parent to ride the Dumbo ride) and we have fast passes for other rides, will they let a parent join the child on the ride without a FastPass+?

    Hey there, Beth!

So happy that you dropped by to visit with us!

The FastPass+ system, as you know, is a complimentary service for every guest with a Walt Disney World theme park ticket. Each guest that enters an attraction through the FastPass+ line must have a FastPass+ reservation for that attraction.
Since your seven-year-old is required to ride with an adult/parent on Dumbo, that guest must also have a FastPass+ reservation for Dumbo the Flying Elephant at the same time.
I'm not sure when you will be visiting the Magic Kingdom, but my family always heads over to Dumbo as soon as the park opens. This attractions popularity changes from day to day. Depending on the crowd level, Dumbo can have a wait time up to 60 minutes or more. If we're visiting on a busy day, riding the cutest little elephant first thing in the morning solves that problem of having a FastPass+ for everyone in our party. Also, riding Dumbo near the time when the park is closing or during the Happily Ever After Fireworks show is sure to have a lower wait time than the rest of the day.
If you're visiting on a slower park day, a FastPass+ for this attraction maynot be needed and you can secure the same FastPass+ selection for your little one that the rest of your family has.

Beth, I hope these tips help! If you have more questions, please stop by and visit with us again soon!
