My child is 8 and has to eat from the children's menu. What happens if he isn't happy with the children's menu choices? Is he just out of luck?

    Hi Heidi,

With the Disney Dining Plan, kids ages 3-9 need to order from the children's menu. There are some restaurants that will allow you to order a child sized portion of an adult entree, but you will need to ask each place individually if that is an option. If you are not using the Dining Plan, you are welcome to order your son whatever he would like off of the adult menu, although you will pay full price for it. I recall when my son was 8 and we were on the Dining Plan. He had a grown up appetite (and palate) so he was not happy when he had to stick to the children's menu. I often ended up giving him my meal and eating his instead. Due to this, if you think it may be an issue, you may just want to forego the Dining Plan and budget to pay more for adult meals for him instead.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful vacation,
